Summary/Abstract: This monograph offers an original interdisciplinary perspective on the work of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky through the psychological interpretation of his female literary characters. Within the Czech and Slovak scholarly context, it develops a relatively underexplored line of research at the intersection of literary studies and psychology, while internationally it builds upon established psychological and psychoanalytic readings of Dostoevsky’s works. The author provides a systematic and synthetic framework that enables a deeper understanding of the experiences, inner lives, and literary functions of female characters in Dostoevsky’s fiction. The book constitutes a valuable contribution to scholarly discussions in literary studies and psychology and highlights the broader interpretative potential of female literary protagonists in literary analysis and creative writing.
