Summary/Abstract: Aiming to reduce the dangers of misuse and illicit possession of small arms and light weapons (SALW) through regular coordination with relevant institutions across the Western Balkans, with a particular emphasis on achieving more efficient communication with the public with regard to this issue, in June 2022 SEESAC supported the establishment of the Regional Awareness-Raising Task Force Within this framework, SEESAC organizes meetings of representatives of ministries of the interior and police authorities from the six Western Balkan jurisdictions who are involved in various aspects of awareness-raising activities linked to SALW control up to twice per year.
