Summary/Abstract: Digital transformation is one of the key challenges of modern management, as it encompasses not only the implementation of new technologies but also the transformation of business models and the development of organizational competencies. Despite the growing body of research in this field, many organizations still encounter difficulties in carrying out transformation processes. The monograph Digital Transformation in Theory and Practice is an attempt at a systematic approach to this issue, combining a literature review, case studies, and expert opinions. The objective of this study is to present the subject from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. The theoretical section analyses existing definitions, various perspectives, and conceptual models. Particular attention is given to the impact of digitalization on organizational strategies, processes, technologies, and employee competencies. A total of 21 digital transformation models are classified and compared, highlighting their practical applications and limitations. The empirical section examines online repositories, case studies, and the findings of expert interviews conducted as part of the research. The publication integrates theoretical and practical approaches, making it both a foundation for further academic research on digital transformation and a practical guide for managers seeking to effectively adapt their organizations to the digital era.
