Summary/Abstract: Turbulent times in recent years require ongoing actions that shape the state’s ability to counteract severe disturbances. In this context, society plays a vital role in its capacity to withstand, adapt to, and recover from shocks and stresses while maintaining its core functions and identity. The resilient society should also bounce forward, that is, should use new circumstances as opportunities for learning, transformation, and long-term improvement. To explore this further, the seminar “Resilient society” was organised as part of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence project “Resilient and Transforming Europe” (Transform EU) on 27 February 2025 at the Poznań University of Economics and Business. Three experts presented different perspectives on a resilient society. They addressed the question of whether sustainable consumption fosters societal resilience, how European Union support enhances the resilience of health systems, and how rethinking urban paradigms can steer the transition towards more resilient European cities. ///English and Polish language version.///
