Summary/Abstract: In this work, Vladeta Miiićević brings to notice such material as is available on the Marseilles murder. Miiićević had been transferred from the Belgrade Ministry of the Interior to Vienna in 1927, there to serve as standing Yugoslav delegate to the International Police Organisation (Interpol). It was he who warned his Government prior to the Marseilles assassination - about mid September, 1934 — and who, only a few hours before it was actually carried out, pointed to concrete details of the preparations being made for it. And he it was who, as the authorised representative of the Yugoslav Government, conducted, together with the French authorities, the investigation into the activities of the assassins and their hole-and-corner supporters, and uncovered the true facts. France rewarded him by making him a Knight of the Legion d'Honneur. Milićević knows every single detail, and today, after a lapse of 25 years, his work will throw the light of clarity on to the dark events of the thirties.
