Summary/Abstract: In this volume, the sports arena is viewed in a broad sense, with its architecture capable of contributing to the fight against hooligan behaviour and actions. The research begins from the decline in spectator numbers, partially generated by the non‑compliant behaviour of certain groups in the stadium, and moves toward measures that consider architecture as part of an integrated approach. The volume is the result of extensive research aimed at bringing into architectural discourse concepts from other disciplines such as sociology and psychology, as well as correlating numerous legislative documents from different thematic areas. The final recommendations focus on preventing criminality in a way that does not seek to prohibit manifestations considered antisocial, but rather to understand them in context. At the same time, the importance of designing new sports arenas with long‑term adaptability in mind is emphasized, especially given that the construction and maintenance of such buildings involve extremely high costs.
