Summary/Abstract: In the monograph "European salary and remuneration systems of civil servants" the author analyzes the salary systems of civil servants in European countries. The countries included in the analysis are the member states of the European Union - Germany, Austria, France, Ireland, Sweden, Italy, Poland and Slovenia, then Great Britain, as well as the countries of the Western Balkans - Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. The monograph examines the degree of alignment of the wage systems of the mentioned European countries with international standards and considers theoretical assumptions that can provide a basis for explaining the differences in the arrangement of the wage systems in these comparative legal systems. The author concludes that salary and reward systems in European countries are characterized by a high degree of diversity in their legal arrangements, in accordance with the legal tradition of each country. The monograph is an important source of information on salary systems for both researchers interested in civil service legislation and decision-makers in the state administration who deal with the salary policy of civil servants.
