Summary/Abstract: The two-year report of the Fund for Humanitarian Law on war crimes trials in Serbia provides insight into all war crimes cases that were conducted in 2014 and 2015 before the High Court and Court of Appeal in Belgrade, and before courts of general jurisdiction. In the report, for 27 cases, a brief overview of the procedure and the basic findings of the HLC related to the case were given. They are preceded by general findings about the trials for war crimes during 2014 and 2015, as well as important socio-political events that are of importance for the trials for war crimes. During the reporting period, the war crimes department of the High Court in Belgrade issued first-instance verdicts in ten cases. The War Crimes Department of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade made nine decisions on appeals filed against the judgments of the High Court in Belgrade. One judgment was rendered before the courts of general jurisdiction. In the reporting period, seven indictments were confirmed against a total of nine persons for the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population.
