Summary/Abstract: The relationship between the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) and the government of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is characterized by tight cooperation and synchronized action, which has seriously threatened the secular character of the state, but also threatens peace in the region. Regular and intensive communication between the Church and the state was established, various forms of financial and institutional cooperation were achieved. The ideological and diplomatic support of the Serbian Orthodox Church was strengthened, and a high degree of harmony between secular and spiritual authorities was achieved. A great contribution to this synergy was made by Patriarch Porphyry, who has been in that position since February 2021.
