Summary/Abstract: Ion Negrei is one of the most prominent historians from the Republic of Moldova. As the author of over 100 scientific studies, including dozens of volumes, he has made essential contributions to the understanding of the history of Bessarabia, particularly the national movement in this region during the 19th and early 20th centuries, and the figures who fought for the union of Bessarabia with Romania, such as Ioan Pelivan and Pantelimon Halippa. It was precisely for this reason that he was invited to give a presentation at the "Union of Bessarabia with Romania" Conference, held in Arad on April 5, 2024. We took advantage of his presence in Arad and proposed to him to publish a book about the Union of Bessarabia with Romania in a bilingual version, Romanian and English. He generously accepted, and thus the current editorial project was born.
