Summary/Abstract: The book presents a little-known episode of the evacuation of Polish Army soldiers from France to the British Isles after their defeat in 1940. The author describes in detail the secret transfer routes through Spain, Portugal and Andorra, as well as the activities of Polish evacuation facilities. Particular attention was paid to the official of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Barcelona, Wanda Tozer, née Morbitzer and corporal Józef Węgrzyn – the key organizers of the rescue operation. The publication shows not only the logistical challenges of the operation, but also the courage and determination of individuals who served their homeland.
