Summary/Abstract: In the last decade of the twentieth century, the Republic of Serbia was a participant in all the war conflicts in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. In addition to the large number of killed, missing and refugees, as a result of the war, there was also enormous material and non-material damage. The obligation of the Republic of Serbia to provide fair compensation to the victims of human rights violations stems not only from the substantive legal provisions of the Constitution and domestic laws, but also from the international conventions that it has ratified.
