Summary/Abstract: The judgments of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) established that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska (MUP RS), in coordination with the Army of the Republic of Srpska (VRS) and other military and paramilitary units, participated in armed conflicts in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the violent occupation of municipalities, the forced relocation and expulsion of the non-Serb population, the introduction of repressive and discriminatory measures, the imprisonment, abuse and murder of civilians and others protected persons of non-Serbian nationality.
