Summary/Abstract: The book is a synthesis of knowledge about gender differences in terms of socio-demographic characteristics that were formed in different social contexts of Serbian society during the second half of the 20th century. It addresses issues related to the specificities of the position of women and men of different generations, relevant for clarifying gender relations. In addition, the book is supplemented with content on current issues of gender inequality, which are faced by even countries that have achieved the highest standards in terms of social gender equality during the first and early second decades of the 21st century.
