Summary/Abstract: In the previous six months (November 2024 - April 2025), a lot has changed and started in Serbia, but not reforms within its European integration. The fall of the canopy of the Railway Station in Novi Sad on November 1, 2024 showed that the consequences of corruption, politicized institutions and dysfunctional supervision can be fatal and do not choose victims. Citizens began to gather spontaneously to pay their respects to the victims and demand responsibility. The authorities responded to this with the usual mechanisms of a captive state - denial of responsibility, distortion and concealment of facts, control over the media, naked concentration of power and abuse of institutions, behind-the-scenes and obvious pressures on the judiciary, pompous selective fight against corruption, increasing repression of protest participants and all dissidents of the authorities, creation of parallel support structures in exchange for all social groups that expressed rebellion. Each of these moves only strengthened the citizens' revolt, and the protests became more and more massive and spread like wildfire all over Serbia.
