Summary/Abstract: Today, exactly 20 years after the bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), it can rightly be said that the relationship between the Republic of Serbia and NATO is more than complex. The Republic of Serbia has been a member of the NATO Partnership for Peace (PzM) program since 2007, as have all other European countries that are not members of the alliance (except Cyprus). This means that Serbia has established an active program of cooperation with NATO in areas of its choice, which was improved in 2015 through the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) and which represents the highest form of cooperation available to non-member states.
