Summary/Abstract: The presented publication considers the identification and definition of the role of factors shaping the implementation of vocational training in the context of people with disabilities. Showing the conditions for the organization and implementation of training as an instrument of employee development in the perspective of diversity management may constitute an incentive for broader reflection on the accessibility of civil society in the educational and professional dimension. The analyses presented in the publication, based on the results of empirical research conducted over a decade, include the opinions and experiences of training participants, starting from people with disabilities, through people trained to support these people, to the opinions of trainers and representatives of enterprises employing people with disabilities. Considering that the area related to the issue of training of people with disabilities has been little explored in the literature so far, the presented study fills this research gap, thus contributing to the contemporary discourse on the determinants of diversity management in a knowledge-based society. The publication contains recommendations regarding proposed changes and improvements in the training process aimed at improving the quality of the organisation of the professional development process, in line with the idea of lifelong learning, especially in the aspect of disability management in the workplace.
