Summary/Abstract: Dr. Svetozar S. Lastić began writing his autobiographical notes on July 21, 1932, in Novi Sentivan near Segedin. The last entry in a fully written notebook of 180 pages in A/4 format with a hard cover was made in 1966, when this retired Serbian national priest and scholar lived in Pečuj. He began writing his notes in the best years of his life as an adult man with a family (39), and the last note was written 6 years before his death (72). While the notes initially present memories of childhood and youth written and conceived with a keen literary talent, his later notes are more like a diary. chronicle written irregularly, with larger time intervals. The autobiographical notes of Svetozar S. Lastić cover a very long time span, describing and relating over his entire life a huge number of personalities, places and events of Serbian history and the Serbian cultural space.
