Summary/Abstract: The traditional culture of the former compact Serbian area in the Banat region underwent significant changes with the division of Banat into Romanian and Serbian parts in the 1920s. The turbulent times that followed the border redrawing certainly left their mark on the overall organization of life and work of the Serbian people, who, from the 1920s, had become a national minority in Romania.
