Summary/Abstract: Achieving the European standard of consumer protection is an important obligation of Serbia in to the process of European integration. This obligation is contained in Article 78 of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, which requires Serbia not only to harmonize its legislation with the consumer acquis communautaire, but also to implement an active consumer protection policy and reach a level of consumer protection equal to that existing in the EU.
