Summary/Abstract: In recent years, more and more importance has been attached to the legal regulation and supervision of the operations of investment companies, bearing in mind their role in the capital market, as well as the riskiness of the activities they perform. The world economic crisis, which initially arose as a crisis in the US mortgage market, was only the tip of the iceberg on which the global financial system "stranded", unmasking the negative implications of the mutual connection and interdependence of financial institutions. With the outbreak of the world economic crisis in 2007, many questions were opened about the causes of the crisis and the regulation of the business of investment companies.
