Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the authors investigate the contemporary relations between the Republic of Serbia and Russia, as well as the consequences of those relations on the process of Serbia's integration into the European Union. Although the state of Serbia does not have a clearly established and adopted by the National Assembly, Foreign Policy Strategy, since the dissolution of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, Belgrade has opted for the policy of "both the EU and Russia", that is, for membership in the EU and, at the same time, for a strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. The Government of the Republic of Serbia, since the signing of the Brussels Agreement in 2013, nevertheless gives foreign policy priority to European integration. However, in the negotiation process, out of 35 chapters, there are some in which Serbia's cooperation with Russia can slow down the process, or even put a brake on integration into the EU. Using the criteria from the 35 negotiating Chapters, the authors analyze the extent to which this foreign policy of Belgrade affects the process of Serbia's European integration.
