Summary/Abstract: The Foreign Policy Notebook, presented to the public by the Forum for International Relations of the European Movement in Serbia and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, office in Belgrade, represents one possible view of the most current and important issues that define the contemporary and recent history of the Western Balkans region. Hence the choice of name: Region between geography and geopolitics. Because the first word - geography - is given, historically inexorable and apparently known to everyone. However, it clearly hasn't lost its mystique, complexity and, above all, its ability to surprise those who ignore it. This is mostly due to the fact that several European macro-regions intersect in a small space: the Balkan, Danube and Mediterranean, which again have their own hinterland, i.e. gravity zones.
