Summary/Abstract: The text analyzes the genesis of the legal and political circumstances of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia in 2006, especially bearing in mind the legitimacy of the Constitution and the legitimacy of all political processes in the political community thus constituted. The authors pointed to legitimacy as a key reason for revising the existing Constitution. In the text, three possible scenarios for constitutional revision in Serbia are analyzed separately. The conclusion is that the best of all possible solutions is the calling of elections for the Constituent Assembly, which would create a new text of the highest legal act of the Republic of Serbia.
