Summary/Abstract: With this text, a polemical stimulus is brought into the space of public debate in Serbia in relation to the analysis of changes on the European continent and above all in the European Union. The idea of deepening the process of European integration is promoted and advocated. In contrast to the usual interpretations and predictions about the collapse of the European Union, we believe that the next step in the process of integration of European states should be clearly aimed at strengthening the confederal structure of the EU.
