Summary/Abstract: This time, the Environment Working Group was an integral part of a wider project, the Green Initiative campaign, which represents a network of 22 civil society organizations in Serbia, of which the European Movement in Serbia is a member. In 16 months, the members of the Green Initiative implemented joint activities aimed at developing functional mechanisms for encouraging the primary selection of waste at the local and national level. One segment of the activity was related to improving the quality and number of adopted local and regional plans for waste management through analysis and research of existing plans and making a set of recommendations for their improvement and encouraging their implementation.
