Summary/Abstract: This document summarizes the analyzes of the state of social entrepreneurship and the possibilities of its development in Serbia, which were carried out in the framework of the project "Support for the development of the capacity of social enterprises in Serbia", which is implemented by the European Movement in Serbia with the support of the Olof Palme Center. The main purpose of the document is to present recommendations for improving the position and capacity of social entrepreneurship in Serbia and thus enable the systematic positioning of this economic and social area and the successful management of the activities that take place in it. The document is based on the findings of analyzes of the possibility of financing social enterprises (Ž. Stojanović and S. Popović) and the possibility of improving human capacities (R. Grozdanić). In addition, previous analyzes of social entrepreneurship in Serbia were taken into account (Parun Kolin, Petrušić, 2008; Babović et al, 2008; Cvejić, Babović, Vuković, 2008), as well as numerous studies and documents on social economy and social entrepreneurship in Europe and the USA.
