Summary/Abstract: Every fourth village in Serbia, about 1,200 of them, is on the way to disappearing. Of the ten workers who lost their jobs, more than half could find employment in rural areas of Serbia. There are examples of good practice that can be used as models to create conditions for the development of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship in individual settlements and settlement communities, step by step, or inclusion in development programs of the European Union and other initiatives of the international community.
