Summary/Abstract: This summary of public policy aims to provide an overview of the current state and practices in the field of consultation and public hearings, in order to identify challenges and opportunities for improving the participation of citizens in decision-making. The methodology by which the research was conducted included requests for free access to information, as well as searching the websites of state administration bodies and e-government portals. Bearing in mind that state administration bodies often do not submit answers to requests for free access to information, or submit them with a significant delay, the information available on the website of the Government of Montenegro and the e-government portal was primarily used. It should also be emphasized that there are evident differences between the data available on these platforms.
