Summary/Abstract: The idea behind the monograph is to attempt to show the criminal law system and all its complexity from the perspective of legal good of human life. Such a construction of the research problem has required the identification of the phenomenon of life, its beginning and end, and the attributes relevant to its legal protection. The main considerations are preceded by remarks on the essence of the right to life and the determination of the basic features and principles of criminal law itself. The analysis of the particular instruments and mechanisms of criminal law, determining the scope of response to a breach of the good in the form of human life, has made it possible to evaluate the axiology of criminal law in that regard and to indicate the basic features of the title model.
