Epidemiological methodology is an integral part of epidemiology, as a set of systematic procedures, techniques and tools applied in the conduct of research and data analysis.The study text comprehensively deals with the field of epidemiological methodology, from the definition of epidemiological indicators, through individual types of epidemiological studies, to the principles of evidence-based medicine. It introduces the reader to time series analysis and principles of screening and deals with the basics of statistics used in epidemiological research. Emphasis is placed on the practical demonstration of the discussed topics and the presentation of illustrative examples from clincal practice."
