Summary/Abstract: This is the officially reported wording of the show trial conducted, under the régime of Mátyás Rákosi, from September16 to 24, 1949 against László Rajk, ending with death penalty and Rajk’s execution. As in many communist countries, the wordings of such show trials were officially published in Western European languages, just as if this publication would confirm for foreign observers the lawfulness and even the political-ethical legitimacy of these trials and sentences.
