Summary/Abstract: Tempus edax rerum – this truth also refers to texts, especially those (what is crucial and characteristic of the 17th-century Polish culture) written only in manuscripts. "The Crumbs…" is a collection of studies presenting discovered in silva rerum, completely unknown, or lost poems (edited texts in annexes). Their diversity and curiosity (as here are nobel erotics, Arian religion poetry, poems created during Moscow captivity, and clock ekphrases) not only attracts attention but also enriches image of the Polish old literature. They, due to details, highlight important patterns of the tradition and mentality of Polish baroque.
