Summary/Abstract: The monograph summarizes many years of the author’s research on technology and functions of flint specimens. The included examples of the production methods and their use in hunter-gatherer societies refer to Paleolithic and Mesolithic sources collected in Poland and are presented against the broad European background. The works explores the subsequent stages of flint production: from the selection of the material, through the processing and use of the products, to their abandoning, it also shows the relations between particular elements of the operation chain.
