Summary/Abstract: The book is a study of Teofil Lenartowicz's relationship with the tradition of the European Renaissance. The focus is on outstanding figures from the Italian and Polish Renaissance. The author analyses the literary and artistic legacy of this Mazovian lyricist and playwright, and bases his research on Lenartowicz's epistolography, archives and other texts from the 19th century.
