Summary/Abstract: This article critically analyses the existing research on representatives and exponents of the Jewish economic elites. It is divided into two main parts. The first part analyses the existing historiography on the Jewish economic elites in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. A detailed study of the work of pre-war Jewish historians and post-war historians has shown that, although there is some research on the subject, questions about the functioning of members of the Jewish economic elite in Christian society need to be answered. The second part of the article proposes a new research method based on a comparative network analysis.
