Summary/Abstract: Analyzing the issues of rhythm, artistic space and time in the film version of the musical "Sweeney Todd", the aim of this study is to show how the composer's creative style influences the construction of the artistic synthesis of screen music form and to outline the challenges for the director in solving the conflict of musical dramaturgy with the peculiarities of the screen in the search for cinematic conventionality.
