Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the relationship between professors Dimitrie Gusti and Petre Andrei in 1939. This was a tumultuous year for the Romanian cultural and political landscape as it also marked the formation of the institution of the Social Service. The author presents new data on the constructive relationship between the two remarkable sociologists.
