Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the importance of extracurricular activities in education. The extracurricular activities which implies the students allow the transfer of knowledge and their application, of the abilities, of the competences acquired before, in as varied contexts as possible. In a narrow sense, extracurricular activities, we can consider,make the connection between theory and practice, and the beneficiaries of this relationship are not only students, but also teachers and implicitly the community. The extracurricular activities, as we mentioned before, complete the compulsory curriculum, being organized by the teachers, with the participation of the students, maximizing their potential through different learning situations. The forms of organization of these activities include: visits, excursions, thematic celebrations, con‑tests, cultural-artistic activities and partnerships
