Summary/Abstract: In the current paper the Bulgarian adaptation of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S, Ahorsu, et al.2020) are presented. 278 participants took part in the study. Unlike the original questionnaire, which is one-dimensional, in the Bulgarian sample three-factor structure was identified: physiological and emotional symptoms, and avoidance associated with an unwillingness to think about coronavirus-19. The Bulgarian version has good internal consistency. The validity of the instrument was supported by the established positive correlation of fear of Covid-19 with perceived stress and anxiety. Women indicated higher levels of fear of COVID-19 and emotional symptoms of fear.
