Summary/Abstract: According to Article 8 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, everyone has the right to the protection of personal data concerning them, which must be processed correctly, for the purposes specified and with the consent of the data subject or on another legitimate reason provided by law (the fundamental right to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data). The General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27th, 2016) sets out the conditions that must be met for the processing of personal data to be lawful. This article analyses aspects regarding the content of the notion of personal data considered necessary for the conclusion or execution of a contract.
