Summary/Abstract: The author studies the use of various naturally shaped parts of trees and bushes in making various articles in the household and production life of the peasant population. The study was made on the basis of extensive terrain material and research, which included villages in almost the whole territory of Bulgaria. The basic conclusion is that the tradition of using such articles has been handed down for generations, and they are also connected with a number of popular beliefs and ideas. In contrast to other spheres of the traditional material culture, in the case under consideration, the articles cannot be typified or regionalized, but can only be studied in their functional aspect.
