MODEL OF PRIMARY ORGANISATION OF CERAMIC ARCHAEOLOGICAL MATERIAL. CASE STUDY - INCINERATION NECROPOLIS FROM BERGHIN, ALBA COUNTY

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to present a possible model of primary organisation of a batch of ceramic material in order to list the elements of the funerary complex discovered through archaeological research, conducted by the researcher Mihai Blăjan, an archaeologist at the time at the National Museum of the Union Alba Iulia, three to four decades ago in Berghin village, Alba county. The results of the excavations carried out during six campaigns were not published in full, but only partially in the catalogue of the temporary exhibition or presented at the scientific sessions. All the processes and methods presented will have a decisive role in the composition of the monography, which could become a reference work in the study of a period in which the written sources are few and the research stage is continuous. The large volume of information, documentation, archaeological materials will make the ”finished product” a complex set of analyses that can add value to the panoply of studies and publications that address the situation of communities in the intra-Carpathian space, in the VIIth-IXth century. It would have been a great loss if this unique material had been left in a dark corner of a warehouse.
