Summary/Abstract: The death of a parent is painful and full of sorrow for his children, especially if he/she has been a living model of life and virtue for the family. But the Christian teaching, through the Church Fathers, can make us understand differently the mystery of life and death and advance with great courage to our ultimate goal, the Saviour Jesus Christ, understanding death as a passage to the full joy and happiness of eternal life.
