Summary/Abstract: In its doctrinal and practical dimension, Sufism is an integral part of the tradition of Islam, which complements its spiritual, intellectual and cultural component. In this paper, I try to point out the field of Sufism through a phenomenological analysis of the (spiritual) Path, the doctrine and practice that are characteristic of the Sufi doctrine. In a rough outline, the paper sketches the fundamental contours of the metaphysics of Sufism which is deeply sedimented within each field of its historical realization. Such an approach follows references to some classical sources, but also to interpretative reviews offered in recent publications of some contemporary authors.
