Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the voivode of VMORO Petar Kitanov, born in the village of Leshko, Gorna Dzhumaya region, a graduate of the Bulgarian Boys’ High School in Salonica. Despite the fact that the information about this fragment from the biography of that public figure is relatively scarce, his place in the history of the national liberation movement is tangible. In this sense, his name should be more thoroughly popularized among our cultural and, in principle, among the entire Bulgarian public.
