Summary/Abstract: The present article discusses the concept of hybrid leadership in the context ofthe educational leadership in ICT implementation in Israeli Arab sector. In the Arabsector in Israel, where the school system has always been patriarchal, authoritarian,and strictly hierarchical, developing a hybrid school leadership represents aparticularly interesting, important and beneficial challenge. The discussion evolvesfrom analyzing the qualitative findings obtained from interviews conducted with 12stakeholders: principals, teachers, ICT coordinators and external coordinators. Theanalysis and interpretation of the findings brought to introducing of the “hybrid model”of educational leadership that includes four components: (1) hybridity as open-mindedthinking; (2) hybridity as proficiency at managing e-spaces and blended environments;(3) hybridity as openness to multiple databases of knowledge and multidisciplinarythinking; (4) hybridity as communal responsibility.
