OPINIONS OF LOWER GRADE STUDENTS ON CHARACTERISTICS OF THEIR TEACHERS

Summary/Abstract: The teacher is a key success factor in changing educational work. In order to achieve the desired changes, the teacher asks students for their opinions on the teacher’s characteristics. This type of paper produces empirical research resulted at the sample size of 185 students of the second, third, fourth and the fifth grade. The aim of the paper is to study differences in students’ attitudes on the characteristics of their teachers. The teacher characteristics model, which we have used in the research, has been developed by Nenad Suzic. It applies to the relationship towards students and the class, the style and mode of work in education and teacher as a person.
