Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics and main trends in the evolution of the folk stage choreography of the ethnographic group of the Dolinyans at the present stage. Methodology. To study the designated topic, a systematic method was applied (to identify structural patterns, ways of functioning and development of folk dance); the cultural-historical method (to identify the connection between the creative approaches of the first professional choreographers-directors of Dolinyan dances and the approaches of modern choreographers); functional (to determine the formal and substantive aspects of folk dance); the comparative method (to identify the specifics of the expression of the leading modern tendencies of staging the folk-stage dance of the Dolinyans), etc. Scientific novelty. Based on the analysis of modern performances of folk-stage dance, the basis of which is the dance folklore of the ethnographic group Dolynians, it was revealed that the dominant trends in the development of folk choreographic art of Ukrainian Transcarpathia in the 21st century are stage setting; creation of choreographic performances based on motives; an appeal to the search for new expressive means of dance art through the introduction of modern communication technologies, the search for unique methods of creativity, non-traditional means of expression; the appeal of contemporary choreographers-directors to traditional approaches in the process of creating stage choreography based on folklore sources. On the example of the folk stage performances of the Dolinyans, the dynamics of the interpretation of myths, rituals, traditional games and rituals in various forms of stage choreography (choreographic composition, vocal and choreographic picture) are revealed; shows the possibilities of creative interpretation of the form and content of the traditional dance art of the Dolinyans. Conclusions. The study showed that the use of various forms and methods of staging the Dolinyan folk dance by contemporary choreographers contributes to the professional creation of bright, spectacular, emotionally, and artistically filled choreographic works. Analysis of the techniques used by the famous choreographer-director in the process of transforming folklore primary sources by various types of stage choreography showed that the main techniques are: the use of traditional ornament as a dance pattern, repeated citing of especially significant moments, the development of a certain element of the dance by changing the rhythm of the performance, changing the direction of movement, a combination of several elements, as well as the development of an element by changing the nature of its implementation, the widespread use of mise-en-scenes, freeze frames, etc. The dance culture of the Dolinyans, accumulating the specific features of the world view of the ethnic groups of the Transcarpathian region, significantly influenced the development and formation of amateur and professional choreographic art, as well as the regional and national culture in general.
