Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the evolution of the concept of digital competence in the context of new developments in the field of information and communication technologies. Starting from the fact that in a modern information society school graduates will not only use, but also create new content and digital products, a new concept of Computer Science as a school discipline is proposed. This concept is based on expanding the components of algorithmization, analysis, synthesis, and problem solving, as well as the development of new digital tools, modeling, planning, and performing virtual experiments in digital environments.
